I hope its as simple as taking the old 1 out and simply inserting the new one and it works, but i doubt its as easy as that. Basically I want to take the ATI Radeon 4350 out and replace it with a ATI Radeon 5750 because i think its the only spec that lets this desktop down:

it is a simple as that, unscrew the side panel, remove the single retaining screw for the VGA card, pull it out, releasing the retention plate at the back of the card to hold it down to the mainboard and that is it. Push the new one into place, put the front screw back in, the rear clip should already have locked in to place and connect the 6 pin power connector to the graphics card.
The thing to note here is that you need a PSU with the 6 pin power connector and many vendors only install the bare minimum when it comes to power supplies, it saves them a few pennies and costs the user a few heartaches when they realise what a poor deal they actually got instead of the bargain they saw! so you need to confirm three things with PC World.
1st that changing the graphics won't actually invalidate any warranty (you have 12 months on this refurbished machine)
2nd. if the PSU has a 6 pin output socket fro the graphics card and then get them to confirm the output in Amps on the 12 volt circuit for you (they will have to look it up because they won't know) Anything below 18 Amps is likely to suffer in the long term especially if you want this to be a games machine.
3rd. If the board actually has a PCiXpress socket!
The last two are really important, a low amp PSU will not power the 5750 and of course you will need a PCiXpress socket to put it into, the refurb machine does not specify what is available either for the PSU or slots on the board, if the 4350 is an onboard chip some custom boards do not have an alternative VGA socket so check first!
You can of course easily change the PSU but as you are already changing the VGA card your bargain purchase is already costing extra money, look at custom building a machine instead. How to change graphics card?
The chances are that you'll have to replace the power supply with one that has a higher power rating. PC World don't fit power supplies that give more power than the machine that they're selling demands.
Yeah you are right, just verify if you have a 450 watt power supply and a 6-pin pci express power connector, because these are the minimum hardware requirements for the hd 5750.
your desktop is 64 bit
maybe ATI Radeon 5750 work only in 32 bit
or chek your BIOS
